Chateau La Croix des Pins

Château La Croix des Pins embodies a contemporary vision of winegrowing, driven by a dedication to environmental preservation, innovation, and enhancing the value of terroir. It was founded by Eric Petitejean and Jean-Pierre Valade, an oenologist/winemaker with a clear vision. This historic estate is situated in Mazan, at the heart of the Rhône Valley, between Mont Ventoux and the Dentelles de Montmirail, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.

Jean-Pierre Valade and Eric Petitejean
The estate's history dates back to the 16th century, and in 1998, it became one of the region's pioneers in achieving full organic certification. Since 2010, Château La Croix des Pins has focused on elevating the quality and reputation of its wines, investing in vineyard improvements and modern winemaking facilities.

Château La Croix des Pins benefits from a unique microclimate, sheltered from the Mistral winds and blessed with ample sunshine. It’s 33 hectares of vineyards span the prestigious Ventoux, Gigondas, and Beaumes-de-Venise appellations, yielding a diverse range of red, white, and rosé wines crafted according to organic farming principles. The estate is known for producing wines that express their terroir, characterized by freshness, fruitiness, and elegance. Clay-limestone soil of the vineyards contributes to the wine's typicity. The winemaking process involves separate vinification of grape varieties and a post-fermentary maceration for enhanced aromas and structure.

Their winemaking philosophy emphasizes minimal intervention, allowing the natural characteristics of the grapes and land to shine through, resulting in wines of character and authenticity.
