William Fevre Domaine Chablis 2014
William Fevre is possibly the leading producer in
Chablis and you will see why when you try this stylish example from the
excellent 2014 vintage. Pale yellow in colour, the palate is fresh,
clean and crisp with excellent length. William Fevre has one of the
largest holdings of vines in Chablis and this enables them to produce
the highest quality of grapes for this Domaine wine. The freshness of
this wine makes it an excellent partner with any seafood dish.
Maison Louis Jadot Bourgogne 2014
Louis Jadot is one of the largest producers in
Burgundy and this gives them access to a large selection of fruit from
the length and breadth of Burgundy. This enables them to select
excellent parcels of Chardonnay for this refreshing wine, most of which
comes from the Cote D’Or
and the Maconnais regions. The result is a fresh and elegant Chardonnay
perfect for summer drinking. The winemaker recommends food pairings of
vegetable terrine, poultry and goat’s cheese and he also states that
this wine makes an excellent aperitif.
Cellier du Ursulines Montagny 1er Cru 2011
With five years of age and the pedigree of a premier
cru vineyard behind it, this lovely Chardonnay from Montagny is deeper
in colour than the previous two wines and it also displays a greater
depth of fruit and length of flavour. The result is a wine that would be
a wonderful partner to roast free range chicken or a cheese soufflé. |
